Camp Hope

(Continued)

The police officers enjoy stepping out of their professional roles to become mentors, friends, and positive influences in the lives of these young campers.

Zion, an energetic 8-year-old, beams when he talks about his favorite part of camp: "I love the field trips, especially Top Golf!"

These adventures provide joy and build lasting memories and experiences these children might not otherwise have.

"Camp Hope has taught me to be a more responsible student and to communicate my feelings better," says Amayah, a thoughtful 13-year-old.

Her words highlight the camp’s role in shaping responsible, emotionally intelligent young individuals. At Camp Hope, kids unplug from technology and explore new interests. This nurturing environment helps them develop lifelong skills and feel a sense of belonging.

The LENS Foundation provides the necessary funding to ensure that this life-changing community outreach program of the Charleston Police Department can continue to reach and uplift more local children each year.

Your donation to LENS directly impacts the lives of these young campers and helps them build positive relationships with their community and police officers.
